HERE’S WHY GYMNASTS LOVE OUR PROGRAM
GYMNASTS ACHIEVE THEIR GOALS AND GET THEIR NEW SKILLS. BUT THEY ALSO LOVE THE PERSONAL TRANSFORMATION THEY EXPERIENCE.
HERE’S WHY PARENTS LOVE OUR PROGRAM
My daughter has gained so much confidence working with Gymnastics Mindset Academy. Learning new skills is tricky… In the past she would get frustrated and wouldn’t know what she needed to do to achieve her goal. With the background the coaches have in gymnastics and being able to understand what she is going through and coach her through it is huge. The confidence and being able to know what she needs to meet her goals has helped her so much.
HERE’S WHY COACHES LOVE OUR PROGRAM
We absolutely loved your mindset program! We thought Stacie and Ali were wonderful and gave some really awesome tools for not only the girls but us coaches as well. We have encouraged parents to look into your individual coaching sessions.
You don’t have to watch your gymnast struggle with new skills… what if one week was all it took to get her first upgrade?
We will teach her the gymnastics specific mindset tools she needs to conquer her fears and meet her upgrade challenges head on. Click the button below to join the waitlist for summer camp now!
DOES THIS SOUND FAMILIAR?
Your gymnast wants to move to the next level.
And to do so she needs to get some new skills.
She is excited to work on those skills.
But she is also scared.
And sometimes you feel frustrated because you don’t know how to help her through it.
You love seeing the joy of each kid getting her new skills.
But you dread the part where your gymnasts get stuck.
And the more they get in their head and overthink, the worse it gets.
And sometimes, you just don’t know what else to do to help them.
HERE’S WHY WE KNOW WE CAN HELP
We have simple, effective gymnastics specific mindset training tools that incorporate the best from cognitive behavioral theory, sports psychology, life coaching and gymnastics.
We can teach her these tools so that she can overcome her fears and find the pathway to successful upgrades.
We want to give her a huge win that will motivate her to keep learning and applying these tools throughout her gymnastics year.
And there is no bigger win, happier feeling than getting that upgrade.
With the right tools, the right support, and the right coaching – she could get that upgrade in just one week.
And have a blast in the process.
Let’s do it differently this year.
Let’s help her get her first upgrade.
And then make a plan to get the rest by the end of the summer.
So that she can go into the fall and next meet season feeling totally prepared.
WE GET YOUR WORLD
MEET OUR COACHES
Gymnastics became Stacie’s passion at an early age, and she happily spent her childhood on into college in the gym, first as a gymnast and then as a coach. After college she went on to work in a non profit.
She began blogging to stay connected to gymnastics and became deeply involved in the elite gymnastics media world, connecting with many elite coaches, gymnasts and media in the process. Her time in the elite gymnastics world and especially her trip to Rio in 2016 ignited a passion to do whatever she could to help create avenues for more mental health and emotional support in the gymnastics community.
And so after becoming a life coach from a school based on cognitive behavioral tools, she wanted to bring those tools to every coach, gymnast and parent. For Stacie, there is nothing more satisfying than helping a gymnast reach her dreams, while teaching her the mental and emotional health tools that will help her the rest of her life.
Ali was an All-American, an Academic All-American, and on the National Championship gymnastics team in 2015 at UWL. She went on to be the assistant coach, recruiting coordinator, and Jr. Eagle Gymnastics Director. She has worked in Strength and Conditioning with a variety of sports at the University of Denver, Southern Utah University, and University of Wisconsin- La Crosse. She currently coaches levels 8-10 at Champions Gymnastics.
Ali also has a bachelors degree in Exercise & Sports Science and a masters in Human Performance- Applied Sports Science. She is also a CSCS (certified strength and conditioning specialist) with the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Alis first became exposed to the tools and techniques we teach as a coach. When she saw how these tools worked to help her head coach and her gymnasts as they went after a national championship she was blown away. But then it became personal.
Ali is also one of the army of women who is a Nassar survivor. She went through coaching to help with the mental and emotional struggles she was facing in her healing process, and saw her own life change and transform. And so she went on to become a certified life coach, with a passion to bring this freedom and transformation to any and all in the gymnastics community.
THIS IS THE JUMPSTART YOUR GYMNAST NEEDS FOR A SUCCESSFUL SEASON NEXT YEAR
Each day your gymnast will have a short video to watch where we teach her the lesson for the day. Then we will give her an activity, worksheet and/or quiz. We make it fun, so it’s not difficult to get your kids to do it.
Each afternoon we will hold live coaching sessions where one of our mindset coaches will help your gymnast apply what she is learning. We will have spotlight coaching times for kids who want specific help as well as breakout sessions with their camp squad so the gymnasts can talk in smaller groups.
You gymnast will have a dedicated camp coach. She can text her coach inside our app with questions or issues anytime during camp. Her coach will also reach out to her group daily to provide support and encouragement.
Mindset work can seem serious, but camp is supposed to be fun! We will have games, awards and fun times throughout to create a positive environment your gymnast will be excited for.
HERE’S WHAT YOUR GYMNAST NEEDS TO GET THAT UPGRADE
WHAT’S INSIDE THE PROGRAM
OWN YOUR OWN UPGRADES
The first step is to have your gymnast take ownership of her upgrade. We will help your gymnast make a choice and take ownership over her own upgrade.
SECRET TO SUCCESSFUL UPGRADES
Learning how to do something new is a process. We will teach your gymnast the process that she can use again any time she has to learn something new.
FIND THE REAL CAUSE OF YOUR FEAR
Your gymnast thinks her fear comes from the skill she is learning. But that really isn’t it. We will help her understand her brain and find the cause of her fear.
FACE YOUR FEARS OF NEW SKILLS
Most gymnasts try to avoid their fear. But that is not the way to successfully getting new skills. We will help your gymnast learn to overcome her fears.
MAKE UPGRADING EASY
Your gymnast doesn’t know how to create the motivation, determination and focus she needs to get her new skills. She is trying to use willpower and white knuckle it. We will teach her to create the fuel she needs.
CELEBRATE YOUR SUCCESS
And in the end we celebrate! We will go out with a bang with camper awards. But also, we will teach your gymnast the importance of celebrating each small victory along the way.
ARE YOU HESITATING
BECAUSE OF WHAT YOUR GYMNASTS COACH OR PARENT MIGHT THINK?
The biggest mistake that many gymnastics parents make is thinking that their gymnast should get everything she needs to be successful in gymnastics from her gym alone.
Even if your coaches have specific training in mental health tools, they simply don’t have extended time out on the floor to spend with each gymnast working through their fears and mental blocks.
And many gymnasts feel intimidated to share their fears with their coaches – even when they have awesome compassionate coaches!
CHECKING IN WITH YOUR COACH
While many parents sign their gymnasts up for our program on their own, we know sometimes you feel hesitant about what your gymnast’s coach might think. Most coaches will love that you want to proactively help your gymnast, and sending them to a camp is pretty normal in the gymnastics world. Check out what one of our coaches had to say.
Here is a quick message you might send your coach.
I found this program that I would like to sign my child up for, but I wanted to check in with you and get your opinion first. Would you take a look and let me know? Here’s the link.
“I think every gymnast should have the opportunity to go to a mindset coach. It takes one thing off my own plate and provides an expert to help them for 15 minutes, and it’s like night and day when they come back into the gym. They just needed an outside source where they can let their guard down with someone who isn’t their coach. As a coach that just takes one responsibilty off of us and allows us to flourish as a team.”
A huge mistake gymnastics coaches make is trying to be all things to your gymnasts – gymnastics coach, strength and conditioning coach, dance instructor, mindset coach, nutrionist, hair dresser… but it is just not possible.
Even if you have the training and tools to coach your athletes on their mindset, you simply don’t have the time to spend out on the floor.
And oftentimes, even if you are a kind, compassionate coach, your gymnasts are intimidated to talk to you about their fears.
Coach Kasey recently told us, “You have to have some humility to say I don’t have to be the one that always has the answer. Or maybe you do have the answer, but sometimes your gymnast can’t hear it from you.”
Check out what else collegiate coach Kasey has to say to coaches about our mindset training.
GETTING YOUR PARENTS ON BOARD
Many coaches feel reticent to ask their parents to do one more thing. But often, those parents are watching their child struggle to get her knew skills and just want to know how they can help her. Check out what one of our level 7 parents had to say.
Here is a quick message you might send your parents.
I found this program that I think will really help your child. I want to do as much as we can to set her up for success next year, and I think mindset training will be hugely beneficial. Check out this virtual mindset summer camp and let me know what you think. Here’s the link.
“We initially thought, oh gosh, another thing we have to get her on to do, we really didn’t know how important it was. But our daughter absolutely finds it so helpful! It really has made an impact on her and I have learned that gymnastics is a sport that requires a lot of mental preperation and support… this program gives them the tools to be successful physically and mentally. And it is really helpful for parents too. I have learned so much listening in on her lessons”
THE MONEY BACK GUARANTEE
That Lets You Sleep Easily At Night!
It’s hard enough to commit yourself to something, know it you will do it and know if it will help. We know it is even harder to do the same for someone else, especially a kid. So we want to make it simple for you.
LET YOUR GYMNAST DECIDE FOR HERSELF ON OPENING NIGHT
If your gymnast comes to the opening night and decides it is just not for her, request a full refund that night, no questions asked. Just email Art at email@example.com by midnight.
GET RESULTS OR GET YOUR MONEY BACK
We absolutely know if she does the work, it will work. And our job is to make it so that she WANTS to do the work! Your only job is to help her get to the coaching sessions… we will do the rest. If she attends the coaching sessions each day yet still does not make progress toward her chosen upgrade, request a full refund. Just email Art at firstname.lastname@example.org within 30 days of the completion of camp.
WE KNOW YOU MIGHT BE WONDERING
Can my gymnast really get a new skill in one week?
By this point in the summer, there are most likely skills your gymnast is physically ready to do, just not mentally and emotionally ready. These are the skills we will tackle first.
We will ask your gymnast to pick a skill she knows she can do physically, she’s just not there mentally.
It is astonishing, even to us, how FAST kids pick up these mental and emotional tools and how immediately they are able to apply them.
The reality is, that GETTING the skill happens very quickly. Gymnasts just put off the getting it for days, weeks and months because they are scared. So it seems like it takes a long time.
We give them the tools they need to get over the hump.
What if my gymnasts can't attend any of the coaching sessions?
Every coaching session will be recorded and added to the app to watch via replay right away. Your gymnast can watch the replay as soon as she is able and catch up with her group in the chat section of the app. Watching other gymnasts get coached is incredibly powerful in it’s own way. She will still get a lot of value from the session. However, the coaching IS extrememly important to her success. Email us at email@example.com with times she would be available. If we get enough for a second time slot of coaching, we will add it in.
What if my gymnasts can't attend all of the coaching sessions?
Every coaching session will be recorded and added to the app to watch via replay right away. Your gymnast can watch the replay as soon as she is able and catch up with her group in the chat section of the app. Watching other gymnasts get coached is incredibly powerful in it’s own way. She will still get a lot of value from the session.
My gymnast is shy, what if she won't talk in the group?
We know. While there are many outgoing gymnasts out there,, as a group they tend to learn to listen and do more than talk. Especially in practice. But we’ve been working with gymnasts for many years, and we are pro’s at getting them to open up. We have also added small groups and chat options to help our shyer gymnasts feel more comfortable.
Even though it's summer, she's got a full schedule. How much time will this take?
We know your world well. We have worked to craft just the right length for coaching sessions, training videos and worksheets. Enough to be powerful and make a difference. But also laser focused and short enough to fit between practice and the rest of life.
Getting my gymnast to do more homework in the summer sounds, well, terrible. Can you take that part on?
We’ve got you. We’ve found that the live component helps tremendously. Our little gymnasts are performers, and they usually want to show up to group time prepared. Plus they will get certificates at the end for completing each bit of work. You just get them to the coaching times, we will do the rest.
My gymnast does best with one on one coaching time. Is that an option?
We have additional one on one coaching slots available for purchase. You can book those here. Spaces are limited, so get your sessions booked right away.
I have another question.
